Six dental careers gathered in one Mile End clinic

In a neighbourhood where the language changes from one shop to the next, this family clinic built its team in the image of the area: six generalists from Toulouse, Quebec City, Saint Petersburg, McGill and the Université de Montréal. You are received in French, English and Spanish. The centre has served the district for more than twenty years and takes part in the Canadian Dental Care Plan.

Treatments and services

Examination and cleaning, cavities, crowns and bridges, root canal therapy. Periodontics is carried through on site: root planing, gingivoplasty for recession, osteoplasty and bone grafting after periodontitis. Add to that surgery with connective tissue grafts, implants, orthodontics with braces or Invisalign, whitening and veneers. The pediatric side covers pulpotomy, children’s crowns and extractions. Denturology is offered on site, complete as well as partial dentures. Emergencies — persistent pain, a fractured tooth, swelling or a lost crown — are seen the same day after a phone call.

Technology and comfort

Impressions are taken with an iTero intraoral scanner, with no impression putty, and radiography is digital. Conscious sedation, a training Dr Fernanda Salviz has completed, opens the door for fearful children. The first examination lasts 45 to 90 minutes and ends with a plan discussed together. A parent may stay seated beside their child during treatment.

The team

Dr Béatrice Teulier-Martinez practised for twenty-six years in Toulouse and holds a university diploma in implantology. Dr Audrey Elmoznino, with a residency at McGill’s children’s hospital, has limited her practice to children for twenty-five years. Dr Yulia Grebneva, a dentist since 1995, is certified in the BOST method, a non-surgical treatment for gum disease. Dr Ziad Al Asmar, with a general practice residency at the Jewish General Hospital, takes on bone and connective tissue grafts. Dr Fernanda Salviz, from Université Laval, and Dr César Garrido complete the team.
